Advanced Arbor is an Arboricultural and Horticultural business based in Shenton Park, Perth WA.

Advanced Arbor aims to deliver best practice in Arboriculture and Horticulture care and maintenance.

Business owner/proprietor Graham Dixon has over 22 years experience pertaining to the study and management of trees, 12 of which have been as an Arborist.

After four years employment as an Arborist at Kings Park Graham established Advanced Arbor in 2018 to apply his skills and experience in the private sector and arboriculture industry in Perth.

A passion for trees was sparked at a school camp at Karri Valley in 1984 when he was struck by the awe and majesty of the giant karri trees. Since then Graham has travelled extensively to see some of the world’s most magnificent trees including; the giant Redwoods of California, the tall Mountain Ash of Tasmania, the ancient Oaks of England and the huge Kauri’s of New Zealand.

In Summary:

  • 1993 learnt the trade of Arboriculture working for contractor’s in Melbourne.
  • 1996 Graham established his own business in Arboriculture in central Victoria servicing the local community. At this time Graham also owned a portable sawmill and engaged in contract timber sawmilling.
  • 1999-2000 taught Arboriculture Certificate III & IV units at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE in Melbourne.
  • 2003 moved back to WA and worked for the Forest Products Commission as a Forest Officer for six years.
  • 2014-17 employed by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority as an Arborist at Kings Park.
  • 2018 established Advanced Arbor.
